摘要
The present work systematically investigated the enhancement of Zn2+ ions on the near-infrared emissions of Nd3+: Al2O3 IR transparent ceramics by a solid-state reaction method and vacuum and hot isostatic pressing sintering. It was found that the near-infrared emissions of Nd3+: Al2O3 was improved more than-10 times with Zn2+ co-doped. While, the transmittances were only slightly decreased lower than 1%. These results demonstrate the possibility of fabricating high transparent and strong luminous performance Al2O3 transparent ceramics by a simple and cost-effectively Zn2+ co-doped process.
