Background: Sheep farming can have very small margins in terms of profitability and so any activity that improves the efficiency of the enterprise and optimises flock returns is of great importance. Fertility management is one such area that is crucial for an efficient flock, with improvements leading to increased numbers of lambs produced per ewe and reduced barren rates.Aim of the article: This article aims to outline to practitioners how to engage with sheep farmers to better manage fertility within their flocks for improved returns.
