摘要
Nanomaterials are taking over the traditional metal compounds used in material science, and the nanocounterparts of chemical compounds deliver more efficiency and advantage. Despite its importance, the efficiency of different nanomaterials under various circumstances is not explored judiciously. In this work, mixed metal oxide copper oxide-zinc oxide nanocomposite, polypyrrole-infused copper oxide-zinc oxide nanocomposite, polypyrrole were subjected to various tests, and their efficiencies were studied. The dye degradation test was conducted in dyes: crystal violet, malachite green, methyl orange, and methyl red under visible light. The result indicated that polypyrrole-infused copper oxide-zinc oxide nanocomposite had the highest degradation efficiency in all the dyes. Flame retardancy test also showed that polypyrrole-infused copper oxide-zinc oxide nanocomposite had the highest limit of oxygen percent. Furthermore, polypyrrole-infused copper oxide-zinc oxide nanocomposite displayed better results in antibacterial properties. Experimental results infer that polypyrrole-infused copper oxide-zinc oxide nanocomposite exhibits better results when compared to its other counterparts.
