摘要
This paper investigates the practical integration of Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) and Deterministic Networking (DetNet) reliability functions with 5G Systems for various applications, e.g., industrial automation. The research highlights how these functions can provide end-to-end, robust, reliable communication with zero switchover time in industrial settings. Using testbed measurements from commercial 5G Systems, the study explores the benefits of 5G, DetNet, and TSN integration. The conducted experiment demonstrates the robustness of the 5G-DetNet/TSN integrated system under challenging radio link conditions, mitigating packet losses and ensuring end-to-end reliability. The results offer insights for future research in industrial automation systems utilizing 5G, DetNet, and TSN standards.
