摘要
The main purpose of this research study is to measure the relationship between social support and mental health in older adults. This research study is based on the primary research data analysis to determine the research study used questions related to the variables. These questions were based on open-ended and closed-ended. For measuring, the research study used SPSS software and generated informative results, including descriptive, paired correlation coefficients analysis, also that presented the statistical analysis between them. The overall result found that social support shows some negative and some positive relationships with mental health in older adults. Social support shows a significant relationship with mental health. Social support is a preventive factor against the damaging effects of stress on the immune system and cardiovascular health. Furthermore, getting and providing social assistance is a continual process. It might also be advantageous for the giver to engage in supportive behaviors like helping, listening, or partaking in social activities.
