摘要
In this paper, a modified plus-shaped patch antenna with Defected Ground Structure (DGS) is presented for ultra-wideband applications. The proposed antenna dimensions are 38x48x1.6 mm(3). In this, a square patch antenna is modified by incorporating a modified plus-shaped slot and truncated cuts resulting in a triple band offering a bandwidth of 1.11GHz (6.45GHz-7.55GHz), 210MHz(10.28GHz-10.50GHz)and 1.10GHz (13.51GHz-14.61GHz).By incorporating DGS the ultra-wideband is achieved with the bandwidth of 8.85GHz (6.39 GHz-14.73GHz) and the peak gain obtained 3.79dBi at 7.1GHz and 5.75dBi at 12.8GHz. The VSWR is <= 2 across the full UWB range. A high-frequency structure simulator (HFSS) is used to analyze this antenna's performance.
