Mis huacos, an unpublished book by Martin Garcia Merou: diplomacy and archaeology, looting and literature

This note presents Mis huacos, an unpublished book by Martin Garcia Merou preserved in the library of the Museo de la Plata. It is a manuscript in which the author comments on the collection of archaeological pieces that he acquired -participating himself in the excursions in which these pieces were extracted or looted- when he was a diplomat in Peru (1891-1894). The material also sheds light on Garcia Merou's intellectual profile, on his operations as an art and literature critic. It is therefore valuable material for future research on the author.
