摘要
The Higgs field is crucial in the electroweak spontaneous symmetry breaking in the Standard Model. It transfers masses to the fundamental particles by coupling with them, thus constructing the basic mechanism of the mass origin. The mass eigenstates of quarks defined by their interactions with the Higgs boson differ from their flavor eigenstates determined by weak interactions. The mixing of the two eigenstates is described by the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa mechanism, which provides the only established source of CP violation. However, the amount of CP violation generated by the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa mechanism is insufficient to explain the matter-antimatter asymmetry in the Universe. Precision measurements of the Higgs boson and the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix as well as the searches for new CP violation are among the key pathways for examining the Standard Model and discovering new physics. At the 10th anniversary of the discovery of the Higgs boson, we will introduce recent progress in the measurements on the Higgs boson and on the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa related flavor physics from the Large Hadron Collider experiments, as well as review the efforts of the high energy physics group of Peking University over these years, in preparation for the 110th anniversary of physics at Peking University.
