摘要
In the 21st century, key competencies are identified as one of the most necessary elements to be developed by teachers. However, the lack of information in this regard hinders teaching-learning designs by teachers. Located in the school area of primary Physical Education, this article explains a case study through which it was intended to promote the key competence called awareness and cultural expressions using, for this purpose, the design of a Programming Unit whose main axis was the Capoeira. The participants in this study were the 98 students distributed between the 5th and 6th grades of primary school, and the specialist teacher in Physical Education. The results determined that it was possible to generate interest in knowing a history and a culture different from their own, as well as aspects related to diversity.
