摘要
Drosophila flies have been used for more than a century in studies on the relation-ship between diet, ageing and longevity, in particular those aimed at determining whether food restriction increases longevity. However, these studies often used a simplistic approach, such as simply diluting the nutrient environment, forgetting that different nutrients have different roles in the diet. This may have led to erroneous conclusions and more refined approaches have been implemented only recently, allowing for more refined conclusions. These conclusions, which take into account the different nutrients, are closer to those of nutritionists, and open the way to new studies modulating, possibly in a different way during the life of the flies, not only the quantity of food but also its quality.& COPY; 2023 Societe francaise de nutrition.
