An otherwise healthy 40-year-old man was diagnosed with invasive adenocarcinoma of the rectum with more than 20 colorectal liver metastases (CRLM). Although the response to systemic chemotherapy was robust, extensive CRLM precluded curative intent resection. The patient was offered hepatic artery infusion pump (HAIP) placement with primary tumor resection and systemic and hepatic artery infusion chemotherapy (HAIC). © The ASCRS 2023.
