摘要
In Mexico three spider species in the genus Latrodectus (Araneae: Theridiidae) have been reported, all are of great medical importance due to the highly potent neurotoxin alpha-latrotoxin affecting mammals, requiring in some cases hospitalization of people affected by their bites. We present new collection records of the three widow spiders known in Mexico from Sonora and Coahuila.
