The eye is frequently affected by sarcoidosis. Often the pulmonary disease is asymptomatic, while the threat to vision requires therapy. Awareness of the ocular manifestations of sarcoidosis is valuable to nonophthalmologists, just as awareness of systemic manifestations of sarcoidosis enhances the skills of an ophthalmologist.
