摘要
Glass ionomer-type glasses are widely utilized in industrial and biomaterial applications due to their unique combination of biocompatibility, strong adhesive properties, and controlled ion release. The structural understanding of fluoride ions in these materials is critical for optimizing their performance and tailoring their properties to specific applications. In this study, we employ solid -state 19F magic-angle spinning nuclear magnetic resonance (MAS-NMR) spectroscopy as a powerful tool to investigate the fluoride coordination environments in glass-ionomer-type glasses. A series of strontium-substituted glasses in the system SiO2-Al2O3-P2O5- CaO/SrO-CaF2 were synthesised by the high-temperature melt-quench technique and analysed by 19F MAS-NMR spectroscopy. A previously unknown F coordination environment with Sr was discovered.
