摘要
In the effective history of cartesianism, Mary Astell's reflection on the real self is a significant approach to the problem of defining the soul and its relationship with the body. Accordingly, this work focuses on the viewpoint that this autor has concerning dualism and shows how it has to do with a practical interest: to consolidate a speculative strategy that allows women to become autonomous subjects against the tyranny of custom.
