摘要：

In this paper, we analyze the potentialities and weaknesses of the 2010 and 2022 population censuses for studies on paid domestic work in Brazil. To this end, we present the characteristics of the main Brazilian statistical data sources and discuss the differences, advantages and disadvantages of the two censuses for studies on the subject. Finally, we examine some statistics on paid domestic work based on the results of the 2010 census.
