eTWINNING IN HIGHER EDUCATION. EXPERIENCES OF INITIAL TEACHER EDUCATION IN SPANISH UNIVERSITIES

The eTwinning platform is an online collaboration community that has proven to be an effective tool for primary and secondary education students and teachers. However, its application in higher education, more specifically in initial teacher training, is still under development. Since 2005, the eTwinning program has offered in-service teachers the opportunity to participate in projects through this platform. The program allows schools from different countries to collaborate in creating and developing projects in an interdisciplinary way, sharing and managing materials on the platform in a secure way. This article will analyse the implementation of these projects in initial teacher training in higher education through a bibliographic review. This experience, which began in 2014 with experimental proposals, will be examined, as well as its achievements and potential in the initial training of future teachers.
