摘要
In this study, the effect of pigment addition into porcelain body and composition variation on the properties of the slip and physical properties of the colored porcelain bodies were evaluated. Firstly, different porcelain compositions were prepared by adding yellow zircon pigment (O1) and black iron-chromium spinel pigment (M1) into standard colourless porcelain body (R1) composition. Secondly, different yellow porcelain recipes (O1- O7) were prepared by decreasing kaolin content in standard recipe while increasing quarts, K-feldspar and Na-feldspar contents. Physical properties of fired porcelain samples were measured to establish correlation between composition of body and final product properties as given in Table A. The obtained results showed that final product properties changed with pigment addition depending on type of added pigment and with variation in quarts, kaolin and feldspar ratios in body composition.
