2D sheet structure Bi24O31Cl10 hybridized with Fe2O3 nanoparticles for improved photocatalytic-Fenton synergistic degradation performance

摘要
The Fe2O3 nanoparticles surface-modified two-dimensional sheet structure Bi24O31Cl10 composites were con-structed (Fe2O3/Bi24O31Cl10) and exhibited excellent charge transport properties and synergistic degradation activity. The degradation rate of phenol was as high as 94.52% after 75 min of visible light irradiation, which was 6.7 and 3.6 times that of the photocatalytic and Fenton activities, respectively. Meanwhile, the Fe2O3/ Bi24O31Cl10 composites exhibited great degradation stability. The improved degradation activity was mainly attributed to the close interfacial contact and matched energy level structure between Fe2O3 nanoparticles and Bi24O31Cl10, which established channels for charge transport and facilitated rapid charge separation. Therefore, while improving the photocatalytic activity, the valence state transition of Fe ions was also realized, which promoted the Fenton reaction to generate more .OH, thereby improving the synergistic degradation activity. In addition, the effect of active species on the degradation process were investigated, and the photocatalytic-Fenton synergistic degradation mechanism was proposed.
