摘要
Thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPUs), which are flexible and elastic, have a great application space in the field of flexible stab-resistant material. Although the performance of a pure TPU film is limited, it can be improved by incorporating particles and stacking with fabrics. In this paper, rigid particle SiO2 and flexible particle SBR, which were modified by the silane coupling agent, were selected as fillers to reinforce the TPU membrane together to enhance stab-resistance. Then, the TPU membrane was stacked with polyester filament nonwovens in several different ways to achieve a better stab-proof effect. The effect of the mixing ratio of the two particles, stack layer and stack method on the performance of the composite material were analyzed systematically by tensile testing, needle puncture testing, and SEM. The results imply that blending of 0.3 wt % modified SiO2 particles and 1 wt % modified SBR particles achieves a synergistic effect and the hot-press method is more effective than the direct method in improving the puncture resistance of materials. This study provides a simple and convenient preparation method of flexible antistabbing membranes with extremely thin thickness.
