The application of digital technology to empower education and teaching is currently the mainstream trend in international educational reform. In order to understand the development status of the application of digital technology in teaching evaluation in recent years, this study used VOSviewer and CiteSpace to visualize relevant literature in the field of digital technology-supported teaching evaluation from the WoS database between 2002-2022. The study systematically reviewed multiple dimensions and obtained the following conclusions: 1) the field is still in a mature development phase and has not yet formed a core group of authors, but several core journals have already emerged, such as Education and Information Technologies, Computers & Education, etc.; 2) through the analysis of the co-occurrence network of keywords, four main research topics were identified in this field: evaluation under educational technology intervention, evaluation under online technology and e-learning intervention, evaluation under social media intervention, and digital literacy and information literacy in digital evaluation; 3) analysis of the burst words identified some past and current research hotspots in this field. The integration of technology into teaching evaluation is currently a focus of research in this field. 4) Citation analysis shows that this research field is supported not only by relevant research in the field of educational technology but also by higher education and teaching evaluation research areas. This study provides a clear framework for the application of digital technology in teaching evaluation, providing a basis and guide for further research and practice for relevant scholars and practitioners.
