We focus on the presence of contemporary Brazilian literature authors on the Instagram platform, specifically examining posts that interact with literary texts. Our objective is to analyze how author Joao Paulo Cuenca uses his Instagram as a paratextual and intermedial resource for his work Descobri que estava morto. The main theoretical perspectives are the concepts of author by Roland Barthes, Michel Foucault, and Giorgio Agamben; Gerard Genette's theory of paratexts and public epitexts; cultural production in the context of platformization by Thomas Poell, David Nieborg, and Brooke Erin Duffy; and Irina Rajewsky and Jurgen Muller's theory of intermediality. We compare six posts from Cuenca's Instagram profile, published between 2016 and 2020, with the narrative. These posts function as public epitexts and have an intermedial character, embedded in the phenomenon of platformization. We observe that these posts directly engage with the author's persona, can guide the reader's interpretation of the text, and serve as a marker of contemporary Brazilian literature.
