摘要
In this article, we analyse, from an intersectional feminist perspective, the media coverage of two single MPs representing parties debuting in the Portuguese Parliament in 2019: Andre Ventura and Joacine Katar Moreira. Through a qualitativelyoriented Content Analysis, we examined the informative production of three Portuguese generalist dailies of national circulation (Correio da Manha, Diario de Noticias and Publico) about those deputies during the first six months of the XIV legislature of the Portuguese Third Republic. Despite challenging the traditional invisibility of parliamentary women, patterns identified contribute to a gendered representation while favouring the polarisation of political actors.
