Thermoelectric transport in a spin-orbit mesoscopic interferometer

摘要
We present analytical results for the thermoelectric response of an Aharanov-Bohm (AB) interferometer ring with an embedded Rashba quantum dot. The system's charge and spin electric conductance Gc(s), Seebeck coefficient Sc(s), and thermal conductance Kc(s) are estimated in the linear response and Hubbard I approximations. Our results prove that the system's thermoelectric response can be tuned using either the AB induced phase shift 0AB, spin-orbit induced phase shift 0S ��, or electronic energy level in the embedded quantum dot. In particular, the appropriate choice of the AB induced phase shift can result in a separation of the system's charge and spin responses with direct experimental implications in the measurement of the system's charge and spin thermoelectric coefficients.
