摘要
This article aims to understand, from the survey of reports published on websites and the publication of official documents, the environmental discourse used during the federal administration of Brazil in the period 2018-2022, from the election of a president entitled extreme right. The objective is to discuss the repercussions of these speeches in the educational processes. Analyzing the publications of the period 2018-2020 published by the media, it can be inferred that there has recently been a setback in the current environmental discourse, which aims at an economic growth unrelated to environmental concerns which can cause, over the next few years, a worsening of environmental quality standards in Brazil, with substantial worsening of atmospheric pollution, water contamination and deforestation, consequently affecting the population's health. In the educational area, the setback in the environmental discourse exerts a movement in which the social construction of ecologically sustainable practices is weakened, which can result in the formation of a society little concerned with socioenvironmental issues In this scenario, environmental degradation is effective, because society starts to not understand the problems that arise from it, thanks to a discourse that legitimizes actions that must be condemnable, resulting in a lack of demand regarding public policies that preserve the natural environment and resulting in a succession of events that can culminate in environmental disasters, which impact everyone.
