Design and simulation of optical chaotic-based secure hybrid optical communication system

摘要
In this paper, for the first time to the best of our knowledge, a secure hybrid free space/fiber optic (FSO/FO) system using optical chaotic is simulated and investigated under various weather circumstances via OptiSystem software. The information in the message is concealed in this type of secure communication system by the chaos signal. This security approach is thought to be nearly superior to other strategies like employing encryption algorithms and so on. The results show that the link distance is degraded about 100 km for all weather conditions after adding the chaos signal to the message. The link distance is enhanced by approximately 37-40% for all conditions when using the dual FSO channel (DFSO).
