摘要
The CUBE project was successful in developing and producing slender, load-bearing and thermally insulated carbon concrete components as well as designing, verifying, approving and implementing the world's first complete building in carbon concrete construction. The design of CUBE combines both freeform and flat components to demonstrate the broad applicability of carbon concrete. Over the next few years, the building will be extensively investigated, with a particular focus on testing and evaluating the structural-physical characteristics, the service-ability and durability as well as its visual quality. This means that the current state of development in carbon concrete construction can now be presented to those with professional interest as well as to the general public. Further insights into the long-term behaviour of the building material can be gained and the experiences and developments from the project can be used for future carbon concrete buildings.
