Analyzing university stakeholders

This article aimed to analyze the state of the art of studies published in Brazil on the relationship between universities and their stakeholders. It is a predominantly qualitative, descriptive and bibliographical study that used the Systematic Review of Literature technique. For the selection of the bibliographic portfolio, the search for publications was carried out at the Scielo base, with the words "stakeholder" and "university" and their variations. Following the research protocol, the search returned a portfolio consisting of 30 articles. After a pre -analysis of this sample, firstly from the deduplication of the duplicate publications, followed by a reading of the abstracts, only thirteen articles remained for analysis. Although only three articles in the portfolio presented the terms stakeholder(s) or actor(s) in their objectives or issues, it was noted that they all addressed a specific topic of university management from the perspective of one or more specific interest groups. The present research revealed a diversity of main actors evidenced in each study, which results from the various microenvironments (academic and administrative units) and their specific stakeholders. It was concluded that the multiplicity of actors and interest groups with different objectives and demands, requires the HEI to develop strategies for specific management, according to the perception of the actors involved.
