The qualitative research design of the case study type was used for the study. The study population consisted of pupils, teachers, and school heads. The purposive sampling technique was adopted to obtain the study sample. Four research questions were raised in the study. The focus group discussion (for pupils and teachers) and the key informant interview (for school heads) were the research instruments used for data collection. Data obtained were thematically analyzed. Findings from the study explicitly revealed the forms, causes, effects, and solutions to challenging behaviours among pupils in Oyo state primary schools.
