摘要
Thermomechanical treatment was conducted on the hot-extruded Mg-6Gd-1Y-0.5Zr (wt.%) alloy plates. The effect of cold rolling reduction on mechanical properties at peak aging state was investigated. The results show that the pre-rolling deformation can accelerate the aging process and shorten the peak aging time. With the rolling reduction increasing from 0 to 15%, the aging time to reach peak decreases from 272 to 200 h. The peak strength of the aged alloy increases with the increase in rolling reduction. With the reduction of 10%, the tensile strength, the yield strength and the elongation to rupture of the peak-aged alloy at room temperature are 400, 344 MPa and 6.1%, respectively, while those at 240 degrees C are 310, 286 MPa and 11.6%, respectively.
