摘要
One-dimensional (1D) MOFs-based and their-derived materials are regarded as a type of highly efficient electrocatalysts for water electrolysis because of their distinct architecture with large specific surface areas and rich pores to benefit the electron/mass transfer capability. In this review, the latest research progress of 1D MOFsbased and their-derived materials for water electrolysis is presented. First, the synthetic routes such as hydro (solvo)thermal reaction, electrospinning technique, and post growth strategy to prepare 1D pristine MOFs, MOFs-based composites and their derivatives are provided, and the formation mechanism is also discussed. Then we fully elaborate their application for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER), oxygen evolution reaction (OER) and overall water splitting. Specifically, the insights of the structure-electrocatalytic peformance relationship of these catalysts are deeply unveiled and highlighted. Finally, the challenges and future outlooks on the design of new 1D MOFs-based and their-derived electrocatalysts toward water electrolysis with promoted performance are offered. This review provides a guidance to fabricate high-efficiency HER, OER and bifunctional electrocatalysts for clean energy production and storage.
