Heat emission during water vapor condensation on a horizontal pipe with a structured hydrophobic coating and without it in the presence of noncondensable gases has been studied. A method has been developed for hydrophobizing a metal heat-exchange surface using a combination of microstructure and nanoparticles, which makes it possible to achieve a contact angle of 158 deg. The influence of noncondensable gases and temperature difference on the heat emission coefficient during water vapor condensation on a horizontal pipe without coating and with a coating consisting of carbon nanoparticles has been studied.
