摘要
The advent of 5G technology has ushered in a new era of connectivity and innovation. This paper explores the fundamental aspects of 5G, its applications, and the current trends shaping its implementation. 5G, the fifth generation of wireless communication technology, offers unprecedented speed, low latency, and high reliability. These features empower a wide range of applications across various industries. In the realm of telecommunications, 5G promises to revolutionize mobile broadband by providing gigabit -level data rates, enabling seamless streaming, and enhancing the user experience. Moreover, it enables the Internet of Things (IoT) to reach its full potential, allowing for the connection of billions of devices and sensors, thereby transforming industries like healthcare, transportation, and agriculture. Another aspect of 5G, i.e., F5G has been discussed in the paper. The Fiberto-the-room (FTTR) has been accepted as auspicious fifth generation network which can be used for high quality networking at home. Many global and states standardization organizations have decided to expand the use of FTTR. Some of the organizations include, the International Telecommunication Union Telecommunication Standardization Sector, the European Telecommunications Standards Institute, and the China Communications Standards Association and few more. There are two widely used features of FTTR, one is the extension of Passive Optical Network to make its reach to every room, while the other is central based networking that helps to high quality Wi-Fi experience and finest broadband connectivity. This paper covers the future trends and viewpoints of FTTR. Paper mainly focuses on the current evolution of FTTR
