摘要
This article describes the use of a modern and disruptive technique to detect oscillations in electrical power systems. The methodology contains the Hilbert-Huang transform aided by the Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD) to decompose a signal into its intrinsic mode function (IMF) and be able to perform a time-frequency analysis. A tool based on stopping the frequency ranges of oscillations and different frequency modes characteristic of electrical systems is used.
