摘要
This paper presents a highly effective approach aiming to produce derivatives of aromatic sulfoxides. The method utilises environmentally friendly reaction conditions and offers improved efficiency in the synthesis process. The sodium bromide (NaBr) reagent has been used in a unique and chemo-selective way to electro-oxidise sulphides to sulfones. Through the electro-oxidation process, sulfoxides can be successfully transformed from sulphides to substrates of biological relevance. In this procedure, regarding the use of electricity as the terminal oxidant, environmentally friendly sulfoxidation (S = O) strategy with high efficiency, excellent functional group compatibility, broad substrate scope and mild conditions, sulfoxides can be produced in presence of various functional groups on the sulphide in moderate to excellent yields.
