摘要
Recent ribonomics research has shed light on thousands of RNA Binding Proteins (RBPs) that regulate post transcriptional changes critical to plant development, growth, and responses to biotic and abiotic stresses. Generally, all these developments are controlled through RNA regulation, either coding or non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs) because most of the genome encodes for ncRNA. In earlier days, these RBPs were identified individually by mutating corresponding genes. However, now the "oligo-d(T) capture" method is popular which is used to isolate the coding RBPs by ignoring the interaction of RBPs and ncRNAs. But recently, few genomewide RBPs identification methods such as protein-crosslinked RNA extraction (XRNAX), Phenol Toluol extraction (PTex), orthogonal organic phase separation (OOPS), and click chemistry-assisted RNA interactome capture (CARIC) have been devised in the non-plant systems which work very welleven for both coding and ncRNAs. However, till today, only XRNAX and OOPS have been adapted for plant systems with slight modifications. In this review, we have discussed all of these methods that can be utilized to orchestrateRBPs interaction either bind with coding RNAs or ncRNAs. Further, we have also disussed the role of these RBPs in plants development, growth, and immunity. & COPY; 2023 SAAB. Published by Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
