摘要
The integration of visible light communication (VLC) and radio frequency (RF) communication achieves complementary advantages of high data rates and wide coverage, while the power consumption should also be considered. In this letter, a genetic algorithm for cell zooming is proposed to realize high energy efficiency in hybrid VLC-RF cellular networks. Based on locations and data rates of multiple users, the proposed algorithm will optimize transceiver association and load balancing for appropriate traffic scheduling. Simulation results reveal that the proposed algorithm can reduce total power consumption for both single and hybrid access, providing solutions for practical deployment of hybrid systems.
