摘要
The science of molecules is always searching for innovative solutions to enhance the efficiency of processes in order to develop sustainable routes for the synthesis of myriad number of biologically relevant organic frameworks. We report the syntheses of basic hydrophilic ionic liquids derived by performing reaction between N-methylimidazole or pyridine with variety of alkyl halides. The protocol provides a highly efficient and robust strategy for state-of-the-art valorization of molten salt as reaction medium for bimolecular nucleophilic substitution reaction.
