40-nm widely tunable laser with Mach-Zehnder interferometer based intra-cavity filter

摘要
We report the performance of a laser design based on an intra-cavity Mach Zehnder interferometer, with 40-nm tuning, 2-mW on-chip power and >30-dB side- mode suppression ratio. The wavelength tuning range has no discontinuities and has been mapped through an automated testing routine.
