摘要
The play Quatre femmes et le soleil (1980 [2004]) by Jordi Pere Cerda (Saillagouse, 1920-Perpignan, 2011), pseudonym of Antoine Cayrol, delves into the psychological tensions of some characters who profoundly portray the author's contemporary rural and Pyrenean so- ciety, located in Cerdagne (on its French side) during the years of resistance against German occupation in World War II. Through this paper we will delve into the psychological com- plexity of each subject from an interest in spatiality, in order to appreciate to what extent the intimacy of the characters is built from the connection of their desires and frustrations with their surroundings, essentially, the natural space of the Cerdagne's region.
