摘要
During the second decade of the XXI century, research relating tourism and indigenous women in Latin America has just started its initial academic production. We arrived at this conclusion after a careful analysis and consideration of the available publications from the period 2010-2020 in four different academic digital platforms. Articles were catalogued by context, subject and publication date. Findings highlight that fourteen compared documents have similarities in the theoretical approach with a gender perspective, in the qualitative methodological approaches and in the following units of analysis: autonomy, empowerment, poverty, sociocultural relations derived from their interactions and job mobility. From this, we can create a starting point to base further research on the roll of indigenous women in Latin America's tourism industry.
