End-of-Life Care. The Experience of the Clinical Ethics Service

After a four years of implementing end-of-life care protocol at the Hospital, the general perception is that end-of-life patients have received an adequate management, avoiding disproportionate interventions and maintaining an appropriate management of symptoms. The objective of this study was to analyze and characterize the patients who entered this care plan from January 2016 to December 2019. The results show that invasive and disproportionate interventions were reduced and promoting the proper management of symptoms.
