摘要
Many useful articles are published every year, and these scholarly works can help to improve and advance the field of psychotherapy. However, as the field has grown and the number of academic journals has expanded, it has become difficult for the average mental health professional to remain abreast of the best publications in the field. The present article provides a concise review of the published literature that is relevant to the field of psychotherapy. The rationale behind the 12 criteria that were used for selecting the most valuable papers are described. The nomination process initially identified 48 of the most useful articles distributed across 12 award categories. A panel of judges, recruited from the Journal's editorial board, voted for the most valuable contribution in each category. Due to a lack of consensus across the judges, awards are given in eight of the 12 topical areas.
