Effect of Fe(III) Complexes with Citric and Ethylenediaminedisuccinic Acids on the Photodegradation and Mineralization of the Herbicide Triclopyr in Aqueous Solution

摘要
Using the method of stationary photolysis with HPLC detection and analysis for total organic carbon, it has been shown that the presence of ferric complexes with citric and ethylenediaminedisuccinic acid enhances UV photodegradation and mineralization of the organic herbicide triclopyr in aqueous solutions. This phenomenon is associated with the generation of reactive oxygen species by photoexcitation of these complexes, leading to the oxidation of the target compound. The results obtained are important for understanding photochemical processes in natural waters and developing photochemical water treatment methods for removing persistent pollutants.
