摘要
In this study, we attempt to empirically calculate the maximum voice communication distance. This is achieved with underwater optical voice communication devices by optical modelling the communication and using data from remote sensing satellite sensors. We designed and described the theoretical and practical background of CoDiver Underwater Optical Voice Communication Device within this paper. As a result, the calculated maximum communication distance is validated by successively conducted field tests at Kumbaba Beach in Sile, Istanbul. This study shows how to calculate the maximum communication distance of an underwater optical voice communication device using the empirical metadata.
