摘要
A novel S-scheme beta-SiC/BiOBr photocatalyst with visible-light-responding was synthesized by a two-step method. The heterostructure is well characterized and the composites exhibit improved photocatalytic activities and good stability of removing bisphenol An under visible light irradiation. The results of transient photocurrent response and photoluminescence tests indicate the improvement in separating photo-induced carriers for beta-SiC/BiOBr photocatalyst. According to the active species test, optical band studies and density functional theory calculations, an S-scheme heterojunction prefer to be constructed between beta-SiC and BiOBr, which could improve the photo-induced charges separation, reserve strong redox ability, and finally leading to an improved photocatalytic removal effect of bisphenol A.
