摘要
A simultaneous emission-detectionphenomenon occurs whena quantum well (QW) diode is biased with a forward voltage and illuminatedwith a shorter-wavelength light beam. The diode is able to detectand modulate light emitted by itself due to its spectral emission-detectionoverlap. Here, two identical QW diode units separately function asa transmitter and a receiver to establish a wireless light communicationsystem. In association with energy diagram theory, we explain theirreversibility between light emission and light excitation in theQW diode, which may help us deeply understand various expressionsin nature.
