A facile homogeneous precipitation route synthesis of LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2 cathode material for lithium-ion batteries

摘要
LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2 (NCM111) cathode material has widen prospects due to its high thermal stability, long battery life and high safety. However, the electrochemical performance of NCM111 is affected by particle dis-tribution microstructure. In this paper, NCM111 cathode material is prepared by urea-based homogeneous precipitation method. The obtained NCM111 has small particle and well distributed, which has good electro-chemical performance. The as-synthesized NCM111 cathode material exhibits a good initial discharge specific capacity of 205 mAh/g at 0.2 C. The study manifested that homogeneous precipitation method is a simple way to prepare high property NCM111 cathode material.
