摘要
The present study is aimed at assessing the geophysical signature of fly ash disposal in the low-lying areas. In this study, electrical resistivity tomography was undertaken to investigate the subsurface condition below the ash backfilled sites in order to establish any possible impact in the near subsurface. The results indicate that there is no distinct change of resistivity in the back filing zones as compared to the zones where there is no back filling. The results indicate very strong intermixing of the soil and ash, which may be explaining the similar nature of resistivity in back filling areas as well as the zones near it.
