High-resolution laser spectroscopy of the (A)over-tilde2Π1/2 -(X)over-tilde2Σ+ 000 transition in YbOD

摘要
Ytterbium monohydroxide (YbOH) and its isotopologues are good candidate molecules for use in the search for physics beyond the standard model. We present a rotational analysis of the (A) over tilde (2)Pi(1/2) - (X) over tilde (2)Sigma(+) transition in (YbOD)-Yb-174, the deuterated analogue of (YbOH)-Yb-174, based on high-resolution laser-induced fluorescence spectra. The band origin T-0 = 17993.81014(33) cm(-1) was shifted to the red of the (YbOH)-Yb-174 origin (T-0 = 17998.5875(2) cm(-1)). The ground state rotational parameter is B = 0.2205648(72) cm(-1), which compares favourably to the value of 0.2203 cm(-1) estimated by isotopically scaling the (YbOH)-Yb-174 value of B = 0.245116257(1) cm(-1).
